Dentures and partial dentures
Dentures that are worth wearing, fitted by people who will keep adjusting them until they are right.
A partial denture replaces some teeth and clips around the ones you still have. A full denture replaces a whole arch. Both take getting used to, and both work better when you tell us what is bothering you.
If a denture will not stay put, implants placed here in the office can be used to anchor it. Dr. Chong Lee places those himself, so it is a conversation you can have in this office rather than a referral.
How a visit actually goes.
- 01
We look at what you have now
Whether you are replacing a few teeth or all of them changes the answer completely, and so does the shape of the ridge underneath.
- 02
Impressions and try-ins
Dentures are fitted over several visits on purpose. The try-in stage is where the fit and the look get corrected while it is still easy to change.
- 03
Fitting, then adjusting
Almost every new denture needs adjusting in the first few weeks. That is normal, it is included, and you should come back rather than putting up with a sore spot.
The honest answer on price.
We do not publish a single figure for this, because the number depends on what your case actually needs. Here is what moves it.
- Whether it is a partial or a full denture, and one arch or both
- Whether any teeth still need to be removed first
- Whether it is anchored on implants, which changes the treatment entirely
- What your plan contributes
Every case is different, so treat any figure here as a starting point and not a quote. We will give you an exact number in writing after an exam, along with what your plan covers.
Questions patients ask
- How long do dentures take to get used to?
- A few weeks for most people, and speaking usually settles before eating does. Coming back for adjustments is what shortens that, not waiting it out.
- Can dentures be held in place with implants?
- Yes, and it is the usual answer when a lower denture will not stay put. Implants are placed here rather than referred elsewhere.
- Will people be able to tell?
- Modern dentures are made to match the size and shade of natural teeth, and the try-in stage exists so you can see and change the look before it is finished.
